Watch Party Pooper

The Grizzlies are on the road for the third game of a four game road trip.  Grizz Nation has gathered LBOE Burgers, 2021 Madison Ave in Midtown Memphis, to cheer the team to victory.

John Martin and ESPN’s 92.9 were also in the building hosting a watch party.  They were giving away posters and other prizes to fans in attendance.  Memphis Grizzlies and Arena Cross

tickets were also raffled off.  One lucky fan went home with a Tony Allen inspired We Don’t Bluff T-shirt.  There was also an Athens Liquor distributor in the building promoting Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire, which is pretty good if I do say so myself.  It’s just what I needed as I watched the Celtics escape with a 95-92 victory over the Grizzlies.

Only four Grizzlies scored in double figures Wednesday night.  The ailing Mike Conley led the troops with 20 points, three assists, two steals, and one rebound.  Tony Allen came off the bench with 16 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks.  Zach  Randolph scored 14 points, snagged eight rebounds, and tallied five assists.  Jeff Green put up 11 points and pulled down four rebounds against his former team.

A scary moment for Grizzlies fans in the third quarter occurs when Mike Conley goes down with what appears to be a twisted ankle.  He has to be carried from the floor.  However, he does return to the game.

The Grizzlies continue their road trip Thursday night as they take on the Washington Wizards.  You can watch the game of Fox Sports South or listen on 92.9 fm.  They return home Saturday night to take on the Milwaukee Bucks.
