What time is it? GRIZZ Time

If you’re like me or any other blue blooded person in the Bluff City, you are ready for some excitement in the Grindhouse.

Since the end of last season, the entire Grizzlies organization has been preparing for the 2015-16 season.  Players have been recovering from injuries and staying in shape.  The Grizz Girls have been hosting auditions and try outs.  The sales repps have been in the streets and on the phones selling tickets.  The  Grizzline is currently selecting members for the upcoming season.  Just last week the team traveled to Santa Barbara for training camp and to meet with P3 (Peak Performance Project).

P3 is where science meets athletic performance.  All players performed a series of tests.  The results of the test will allow the training staff to adjust the players workouts based on their physical deficiencies.  Considering that the team was pretty banged up for the playoffs last year, the P3 experience is hoping to prevent some injuries this season.  It’s no secret that Tim Duncan can outplay some of the younger guys in the league, well he is a client of P3.  If we could get P3 to get Mike Conley a better mask that allows him to breathe better that would be great.

The report coming from training camp is all positive.  At 38 years old Vince Carter out jumped Andrew Wiggins who is 20 years old. Mike conley will continue to wear the mask but his foot and ankle are healed .  Tony Allen’s hamstring is healed.  Everybody is healthy and ready to play.  No one is denying that a healthy Grizzlies team would have ousted the Warriors from the playoffs last season.  All of the pieces to the puzzle are there, they just need to be put in their proper place so we can finally raise a banner in the forum.

Im excited, you’re excited, the Grizzlies are excited, everybody’s excited.  Come on down to The Grindhouse Tuesday night to witness this great season from the very beginning.

The Grizzlies first pre season game is Tuesday as they host the Houston Rockets.
