Mike Conley misses second game with the ankle injury.  Gasol, Allen, and Randolph are back in action tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks.  Back in November the bucks handed the Grizzlies their first loss of the season.  Coming into the game, the Grizzlies have lost three of their last four games and the Bucks have lost their last seven games on the road.  Well, this makes the Milwaukee Bucks eighth consecutive road loss as they fall to the Memphis Grizzlies 96-83.

Five Grizzlies scored in double figures.  Courtney Lee is the Grizzlies leading scorer with 17 points.  Jeff Green scored 15 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished for two assists and got one steal.  Z-Bo filled up the stat sheet with 15 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block.  Beno Udrih, who is filling in for Mike Conley, tallied up 14 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Marc Gasol ended the game with 12 points, seven rebounds, one steal and one block.

There is one stat that is not listed on the stat sheet but has a huge impact on the game.  The stat is energy and Tony Allen has plenty of it.  “I had a lot of energy in me considering the fact I got a surprise sit-down for the Washington game. I definitely wanted to be a part of it. It was a much-needed rest and I took advantage of it. I basically had the mindset coming in today that I have to leave it all out on the court. When I came in I wanted to be an energy, a great deal of energy and I think I showed that today” said Tony.

Coach Joerger had this to say about Tony and his energy: “He wants to win and he will do anything it takes for us to win. We’ve had lots and lots of conversations the last couple weeks and he’ll just do whatever it takes. Tony did a great job again of getting some fast break points because he gets out and gets his hands on the basketball and gets some deflections. We get some easy buckets with two dunks in the first half. He plays off of Marc (Gasol) and Zach (Randolph) really well and it really seemed like he’s always losing his man because maybe they want to double off of him. He did a nice job of finishing around the rim. He brought the energy up of everybody. I think getting off to the slow start and me making a quick sub kind of jolts everybody, not just the one person that got subbed in or subbed out.”

The Grizzlies next game is Monday as they host the Denver Nuggets.  Mike Conley is day to day with his ankle injury.
