Grizzlies Treat Fans To A “W” In The Grindhouse

Mike Conley has on his mask for Halloween, but tonight he played like the #11 we remember before he was forced into the mask.  Conley led the way with 22 points and  eight assists as the Grizzlies hand the Nets their third straight loss of the season.  Z-bo registered his first double double of the season with 15 points and 13 rebounds.  Jeff Green  scores 14 and Courtney Lee scores 15 points, totalling  four Grizzlies in double figures.

A spooky moment for the Grizzlies occurs in the third quarter.  Marc Gasol injures his hand when Thaddeus Young fouls him on an attempted dunk.  If that was the trick, then the treat is that Gasol was able to return to the game.

Coach Joerger is well aware that his team isn’t the best three point shooting team.  “Offensive rebounds, turnovers, and free throw attempts.  If we can win those categories it helps make up for our three point differential” says Joerger.

The Grizzlies next game is Monday at Golden State.  It is the first of a five game road trip.  The Grizzlies return home on Wednesday Nov. 11 to host the Golden State Warriors.   This game will be grudge match that you don’t want to miss.  The Grizzlies begin a road trip against the Warriors and Warriors are the first team they play upon returning home.  For tickets to the game visit Grizzlies.com or dial 901-888-HOOP (4667).
