STAXTACULAR 2016

Come out Friday January 29, 2016 to the Stax Musuem of American Soul Music for Staxtacular 2016, presented by SunTrust.  Vince Carter and other Grizzlies guest will host the Party with a Purpose as the finale’ of National Mentor Month.  The event will take place from 7p-midnight. This year the Soulsville Foundation will partner with the Rec Room to create Rec Room Souh  in the Stax Music Academy building during the event.

Former Grizzlies players  Shane Battier, Brian Cardinal, and their wives hosted the first Staxtacular in 2005.  They were motivated to host the fundraiser by Stax Records legacy and the work that  the Soulsville Foundation does with at-risk youth.  The Soulsville Foundation operates the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Stax Music Academy, and The Soulsville Charter School.  Their mission is to uplift and invigorate the music and heritage of STAX Records to develop young people for lifelong success, and continue to inspire and transform the world through the power of soul music.

Tickets to Staxtacular are $175 and can be purchased HERE or dialing 901-261-6338.  Tickets are also available at the Stax Museum and at the Grizzlies Den Team Store inside the Grand Lobby of FedEx Forum.

Staxtacular has raised over $900,000 in it’s 11 year history. Not only is Staxtacular the largest fundraiser of the year for the Soulsville Foundation, it has become one of Memphis’ hottest parties.
