Memphis Grizzlies vs Atlanta Hawks

Coming into this game the Atlanta Hawks are on an eight game winning streak against Western Conference opponents. Both teams started the game with their best start in the teams history. This makes Zach Randolph’s ninth game in a row missed due to a bruised knee.

Hawks force 14 Grizzlies turnovers in the first half. Atlanta led by only five points at halftime. In the fourth quarter the Grizzlies go on a 24-12 run to tie the game at 82.
In the third quarter Marc Gasol makes a spectacular shot, shooting a fade away from the baseline over the backboard. The Grizzlies only had three players in double figures. Mike Conley led the way with 17 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Marc Gasol added another 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks. Tayshaun Prince cam off the bench with 12 points, two rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block. Memphis suffered from a poor three point shooting night, 5-17.

“It was a matter of not getting stops and not executing. We couldn’t make plays. We couldn’t execute. An that was it. You can’t defend, you can’t execute, it’s hard to win.” Marc GAsol.
“We have to get another playmaker on the floor. We have to. We’re going to have to start playing multiple point guards. They really jammed up Conley” Joerger said.

The Grizzlies next game is Friday in New Orleans against the Pelicans.
