We’re Going STREAKING!!!!

The 10-2 Grizzlies are back in action in the NBA’s number one destination city. After lettting one slip away in Toronto on Wednesday night.  Tony Allen and Quincy Pondexter are both plagued by  the stomach bug. Courtney Lee and Beno Udrih suited up.  The Grizzlies are looking to extend their 20 game home winning streak.  Also this is their sixth game with at least 20 free throw attempts.  The Celtics are looking to end their 22 game loosing streak in Western Conference arenas.

In true Grizzlies fashion, Gasol and company grinded their way to victory.  Marc worked Kelly  Olynyk throughout the 1st quarter.  By the beginning of the second quarter the Grizz bench took the floor.   at 31-23 Memphis.  Leur dominated from the bench with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.  Tayshun Prince hit a buzzer beater three at the end of the second quarter, giving the Grizzlies great momentum going into halftime with a 55 – 41 lead.

The Grizzlies did not let up in the second half.  Tenacious defense allows them to go a 10-0 run in the third quarter.  Although they were unable to put together a huge run, Memphis outscored Boston 35-30 in the fourth quarter.  Z-Bo finished the game with 16 points, 16 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Gasol scored a season and career high 32 points.  Conley contributed  another 15 points and 8 assists in the 117 – 100 victory over the Celtics.

The Grizzlies look to extend their streak Sunday night against the Clippers.
