The Memphis Grizzlies hosted the Phoenix Suns while the University of Memphis Tigers visited the University of Houston Cougars. The last time the Grizzlies played the Suns was Nov. 5 in Phoenix, this time they met at the Grindhouse. The Tigers defeated the University of Houston Cougars on New Years Eve in their Conference opener.
