Grizz Clip the Clippers

Monday night the Memphis Grizzlies won the second game of three game road trip. They beat the Los Angeles Clippers 90-87. It was a hard fought victory for the Grizzlies, a game with several lead changes.

Only four Grizzlies scored in double figures. Mike Conley led the way with 18 points, seven assists, three assists, and two steals. Jeff Green added 16 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Marc Gasol scored 14 points, grabbed six rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and one steal. Tony Allen contributed 10 points, five rebounds, and two steals. Zach Randolph was the lead rebounder with 10 , seven points, two assists and one block.

Courtney Lee did a great job defending Chris Paul at the end of the game. He forced him to a side, and was able to cut him off. This allows Mike Conley to get the ball away from Paul.

The Grizzlies defense was able to get necessary stops against the Clippers. Holding the Clippers to 80 points was no small task. The Clippers average more like 100 points per game. At the end of the game the Grizzlies make plays defensively to stay on top. They went up eight with a couple minutes to go,the Clippers cut it down to one.The Grizzlies got enough stops to win it.

The Grizzlies wrap up their three game road trip Wednesday night as they take on the Sacramento Kings. Then they return home to Host the Clippers on Friday night. The first 5,000 fans will receive a pair of Grizzlies flip flops.
