One night after the Memphis Grizzlies suffered their third loss in as many games, they  bounced back with a 97-83 victory over the Sacramento Kings.  Tony Allen is still out resting his strained hamstring.  There is no time table for his return.  DeMarcus Cousins of the Kings did not play in this game either.

Mike Conley led the Memphis Grizzlies with 18 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks.   Jeff Green scored 16 points, grabbed four defensive rebounds, passed for four assists, one steal, and blocked one shot.  Zach Randolph registered 15 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and passed for three assists.  Gasol scored eight points and 11 rebounds.  Courtney Lee added another ten points.  The Grizzlies largest lead of the night was 16, in the second quarter.

Marc Gasol has a Darko Milicic inspired moment in the first quarter.  Out of frustration he rips his jersey.

The Grizzlies forced 15 Sacramento turnovers and held the Kings to 33 of 81 field.  Memphis also out rebounded Sacramento 45-41.  Zach Randolph made five out of six free throw attempts to help the team to shoot 77% from the line compared to 60% by the Kings.  Not only did the Grizzlies out shoot the Kings from the field, also from beyond the arc ( 31% to 35%).  Former Grizzly Rudy Gay was the Kings leading scorer with 24 points.

The Grizzlies are back in action Friday night on Beale Street to host the Oklahoma Thunder.  Hopefully the team can bounce back from the recent losses and use this victory as a momentum shift to finish the season strong.
